RESIDENTIAL
Michael Black's residential design first endeavors to ascertain the client's functional requirements, budget constraints, site opportunities and constraints, governmental regulations, sustainability considerations, and any predilections in the choice of materials, colors or style. He then goes through a process of developing and studying alternative solutions in order to arrive at the best possible decisions. He believes that creative architecture is the result of a design process that responds to all the applicable criteria including a positive response to the aesthetics.
Michael facilitates communication in order to uncover what the clients desire and appreciate. When there is more than one person, there is usually more than one opinion. The job of the architect then becomes facilitating agreement so that all parties like the design result.
