URBAN PARKS
The Downtown Plaza of Cloverdale and the Cotati Civic Center Park were both done by consensus. Both examples of "urban design" were the result of an extensive community consensus process. Both designs demonstrate how soft space (landscaping) can interact and frame the hardscape areas that are essential to community activities such as celebrations and community market. Each of these spaces is designed to be the outdoor focus for community life. |
