VALLEY OAKS VILLAGE SITE PLAN

This site plan reflects the standards developed for the cohousing paradigm established in Denmark and utilized here in the United States. One of the most important considerations is the separation ofparking from the housing and desire to have residents walk past other residences to arrive at their own homes. This increases the social interactions, which in turn strengthens the community. The community is divided into two sections which are located to either seide of the centrally located commonhouse, exterior activity area, and the vegetable garden. The walnut orchard was mostly removed and the valley oaks were planted to bring the property closer to is original state.
