YULUPA COHOUSING, SANTA ROSA, CA

Yulupa Cohousing in Santa Rosa, CA, was completed summer of 2005 with 46 adults and 12 children in residence, some in each decade up to their eighties. The Planning Commission and the Architectural Design Review Board praised the design both for its "superior architecture, a delight for residents and neighbors alike" and its "sustainability and humaneness ... the human mind and heart are co-stimulated."

Michael and his wife Alexandra were both involved in its creation. Michael is the Project Manager and Architect and Alexandra was in charge of marketing and guiding the group through the community formation process.
